Hello Friends,
Every time I pick up a publication, there is an article about the dangers of stress on our health and happiness. I didn't learn this by reading, however, but by observation and personal experience.
I have always been sensitive to stress. Now, there is a name for that - the highly sensitive person. Ever since I was a teenager (a long time ago!), I have investigated ways to relieve stress.
Being very keen to what is going on around me, I observed my fellow human beings overly stressed as well. I see sad, tired faces. I see anger on the roads, out shopping and in the workplace.
The news is filled with wars, violence, abuse and sorrow. I know it sounds simple, but I blame these human conditions on stress.
I truly believe that one's personal peace greatly affects home, community, country and world peace. If we were all living a purposeful, healthy and loving life, would we have wars? It sounds like Utopia, but we have to start somewhere.
My stress overload contributed to many health problems. I suffered from depression, panic attacks, high blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, undiagnosed pain and many more. My healing started the day I took my health into my own hands.
I learned all my health conditions were stress related. I turned to many forms of natural and holistic healing to regain my health. I am still learning of new and powerful ways to deal with stress.
I have many reasons for building (work in progress) this website: 1) Giving my visitors tools for dealing with and alleviating stress. 2) Creating a resource of stress-relieving techniques. 3) Helping to create a more peaceful society by increasing personal peace. 4) Sharing my passion for natural and holistic healing. 5) Promoting inner peace through personal growth.
