Common Physical and Psychological Conditions

The more stress occupies our lives, the more apparent the effects of stress will be. The symptoms of stress begin with irritability, fatigue and depression. If the stressors persist, more serious physical and psychological conditions may result.

Stress is widely defined as persistent, excessive strain or tension. Our work, relationships, environment, thoughts, attitudes and responsibilities (among many more) can be named as stressors. Even positive situations like moving to a new house or marriage can cause anxiety.

When we are in this state of anxiety, we feel alone. But, the fact is that the folks all around you are in the same boat.

The most common adverse effects of stress are conditions we have all heard about. A friend, family member or you have experienced them. I have experienced at least three or four of them myself.

Burnout occurring from unhappiness and excessive stress at your workplace.
Chronic fatigue syndrome resulting from stressful conditions both physical and emotional.
Anxiety disorder developing as a result of irrational fears.
Panic attacks manifesting from a state of high anxiety.
Fybromyalgia symptoms arising after stressful events.
High blood pressure caused by a state of emotional stress.

The good news is that all of these conditions can be corrected or healed. Along with your doctor's advise, many stress relief techniques can be used to successfully treat these conditions. If not treated, your health will surely spiral downhill quickly.
