EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique – is a form of healing that works with energy fields. Enlightened medical doctors, therapists and practitioners use it to treat and heal many conditions. However, it is so simple to do that anyone can learn and practice it.

The declaration of EFT is – “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” As living creatures, we are all surrounded and made up of an energy system. A person’s aura is actually an energy field.

Stress, anxiety, phobias, addictions and low self-esteem are all caused by negative emotions that cause imbalance in our energy systems. The negative emotion leading to a phobia, for instance, would be fear. These negative emotions come from memories that have left imprints in our energy system.

Dealing with negative emotions through this technique means freedom from the debilitating effects our emotions. But, how does it work ? The Emotional Freedom Technique involves repeating an affirmation to counteract the negative emotion along with tapping on certain energy meridian points. It is that simple.

Gary Craig, the founder, gave us this healing gift in the early 1990’s. Since then, its use has grown substantially. Today, there are seminars, radio shows, Master’s courses and many books about Emotional Freedom Technique. As the use of it grows, so have the conditions that have been healed by it.

I have used Emotional Freedom Technique for relaxation on many occasions. Before social gatherings and during stressful work situations are just a few them. Presently, I am using it to quell my fears related to starting my own business. I have been amazed at the peace I have gained by taking a few minutes to do EFT.
