Nutritional Supplements
To Undo the Stress in Your Life

Bring back the calm in your life by taking the proper nutritional supplements. Specific vitamins and minerals are necessary if you are under stress. Supplementation is a simple step you can take to improve your well-being.

Adding more vitamins and minerals to your stress-relief program provides two important benefits:
1) Brings about calmness to your mind and body.
2) Restores nutrients lost by excess stress.

Vitamin C

The vitamin most important in times of stress is Vitamin C. It is a strong anti-oxidant. Anti-oxidants protect against the stress-induced production of free radicals. Vitamin C is also vital in the formation of collagen which is necessary for every type of bodily repair. Stress, especially emotional, breaks down immune defenses which collagen helps to repair.

Other functions of Vitamin C are the synthesis of cortisol and the metabolism of tyrosine. Cortisol is the "stress hormone" and tyrosine is a precursor to adrenaline, dopamine and nor adrenaline. They are all vital for stress responses and protection.

Vitamin B

The B Vitamins are a complex known as the "stress vitamins". They work together on many levels for proper nerve function and relief of stress-related symptoms. Depression, anxiety and irritability can be relieved by taking a Vitamin B complex.

The B Vitamins that are particularly beneficial are:
· Niacin-necessary for metabolizing Tryptophan. (Tryptophan is a precursor to Serotonin, which calms the mind.)
· Pyridoxine(B6) & Vitamin B12-maintains integrity of nerves.
· Pantothenic Acid-responsible for normal function of adrenals and removes toxins from the body.

Other Nutritional Supplements

Anti-Oxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A and E all work to reduce the harmful effects of stress. They also work to strengthen our immune system.

Besides vitamin supplements, taking Magnesium, Tyrosine and DHA may also help. These nutritional supplements help in many ways. Magnesium, like the anti-oxidants, helps to offset the damaging effects of stress. Tyrosine and DHA (docosahexaeonic acid) help to relieve the symptoms of stress by keeping our brain functioning properly.

All of these nutritional supplements can be bought separately or in "stress formulas." It is an easy and safe way to restore your well-being when stress has beaten you down. It does take time to feel their benefits, though. It may take two to four weeks. Be patient. Your body is crying out for these nutrients.
